Ministry Accreditation Profile
A Journey of Faith, Creativity, and Divine Purpose
About Me
My name is Scarlett Anderson. I was born in Washington, D.C., and currently reside in Glen Burnie, Maryland, USA. I am a special education teacher who works with students on the autism spectrum and related health disorders. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Performing Arts and a Master of Arts in Teaching, Special Education. I am also a graduate of God Loves Art’s Foundations in Art Ministry course and am currently pursuing advanced coursework to complete my certification in art ministry.
My Faith Journey
My spiritual journey began in early childhood. As a toddler, my mother read the Bible and shared stories about God and Jesus with my siblings and me. Although my father had me christened in the Catholic Church, my mother, siblings, and I attended a Baptist church every Sunday. She taught us how to pray and enrolled us in Sunday school when we were around six years old. It was during this time that God became real to me. I remember talking to Him and knowing that He was with me.
As a youngster, I was a tomboy with a deep love for creating art, drafting floorplans, taking things apart, and building anything I could imagine. I spent much of my childhood with my two brothers and enjoyed watching the activity at construction sites. Looking back, I can see how my early interests in art, drafting plans, and building would later become meaningful parts of my vision for ministry.
At the age of 25, my oldest sister invited me to church. That day, I knew I was ready to give my life to the Lord. During the service, I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ, and a few months later, I was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. My earlier experiences attending church, learning biblical truths, and developing my faith had prepared my heart to say, “Yes Lord,” and follow Him.
My Testimony of Deliverance and Spiritual Growth
Although I had an early awareness of God, my spiritual growth was limited for many years. I had not developed strong roots in the biblical principles of power, authority, steadfastness, and other foundational truths. As a result, I was easily influenced by others and often practiced a form of religion without fully understanding the truth of God’s Word. I also lacked consistent, strong spiritual leadership in my life.
As a young adult, I developed unhealthy habits that negatively affected my overall well-being. I became vulnerable to deception and manipulation and accepted lies from people within my circle, as well as false beliefs about God and life. Over time, my circumstances and choices led me down an increasingly destructive path. Eventually, I became tired of being “sick and tired” and began crying out to Jesus to rescue me. In His mercy, He answered.
Jesus clearly saved me on several occasions from the threats and grip of Satan. A few weeks after I gave my life to the Lord, I was delivered from a demonic attack. At this time, I was in a Pentecostal church and the ministers tarried with me as they tried to get me to say "Jesus" but I couldn't because a demon was controlling my tongue. I remember screaming "father!" and calling my sister's name (who was in the room). None of the names I called on released me from the hold. The event was very dramatic, and I experienced "being set free!" The Power of Jesus saved me, and I surrendered my life to Him. My testimony continues to remind me of the importance of surrendering to Christ, growing in spiritual understanding, and remaining grounded in His truth.
My Vision for Art Ministry
My spiritual dream is to build a park that will house a chapel, dining area, and art studio surrounded by nature and walking paths. I envision this space as a peaceful and welcoming environment where artists and other creative individuals can deepen their relationship with God while exploring their gifts and gaining a greater understanding of themselves. In addition to developing this creative ministry space, I aspire to lead a team of construction workers and craftsmen who can use their skills to support environmental design for charitable organizations. This vision would bring together my interests in art, construction, service, and faith to help meet practical needs and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
My Calling and Educational Goals
In mid-2025, I had a dream about sitting at a table with Elders and discussing one of their credentials, identified as DIM. I later learned this was an abbreviation for either Diploma in Ministry or Diploma in Management. This experience, along with my growing sense of direction to improve my business skills, has led me to pursue further education in ministry and business. Accordingly, I am discerning whether to pursue a Diploma of Ministry, a Christian Business Certificate, or perhaps both, at the Christian Leadership Institute (CLI).
